Survey:                                                                                                                How found: General web search for "Celtic Christianity".              Liked Best: The info. on Celtic things.  Also, like the emphasis on being a "24-7-365" Christian instead of a "Sunday Christian".
Liked Least: Lots of pages to click through...not sure; wouldn't want any less information than is currently on website.
Like to See: I'm sure it's all here; but maybe something akin to a "side by side" comparison of Celtic, Franciscan, Evangelical practices so that a more unified picture is presented? (It may already exist...I've only been through several dozen pages...).

Comments: First impression was that your site is too immense; but then I began to go through the pages...Great Web-Site!!!                                  (Texas)

Thanks for sharing the insights and and inspirational content of your website.
I previously had been inspired by many of same writings, traditions and places and look forward to becoming more acquainted with your order.  Though of Protestant background, I've lived, studied and worked in Spain and have been inspired by much in the monastic tradition (as an American of distant Scots heritage who nevertheless chooses to wear the kilt annually for Burns Night/Supper, I also appreciate that symbolic links can cement one's identification with a tradition and its values).
You have been very charitable in sharing your inspirational sources and, in particular, confirming availability of some of the books and tapes I'd been looking for that led me to your website.  I'll separately contact you on those and will hope to be involved in and to contribute to your efforts in the future.
I thank you for your Christ centered mission and for providing a range of resources.  There is a fairly recent multi-volume translation from Greek and Slavonic texts (Faber & Co. publisher, I believe) of the Orthodox tradition's great collection of writings called, "The Philokalia."  Though usually associated with the Orthodox tradition's Way of the Pilgrim and Jesus Prayer, it is also a wonderful compendium of scriptural insight of the Monks known as Desert Fathers and others of the early Church in the East.  Some of the writings, such as texts on "watchfulness" are deeply spiritual but also have an unparalleled philosophical/intellectual dimension (the legacy of Platonic schools) in perfect alignment.  The interpretations of scriptural text emphasize internal heart/mind realities over externalities that were emphasized in my Methodist/Presbyterian background, but I've found them to be insightful and anchored in the fundamentals of our faith.

My wife and I hope someday to visit Iona and some of the other beautiful sites you show on or link through your website.  Having lived in Spain in years past I recommend to you a visit to Santiago de Compostela in beautiful, green Galicia (very proud of its Celtic traditions).  The authenticity of Compostela's relics aside, the place has inspired (and still inspires) the faithful for centuries and has acquired a palpable spiritual ambience.  Another powerful place is the monastery of Montserrat in Cataluna.  You probably know both sites well, but if not they are worthy of a pilgrimage.
Sincerely,
Randal K. (Denver, Colorado)

Survey:                                                                                                          How found: I was doing a History project on St. Patrick and stumbled upon it.
Liked Best: This is a really well done site with tons of information on it, and I agree with all your essential doctrine (differ a little on some less important teachings, but not too far off).
Liked Least: I don't know, maybe the fact that I won't be able to get to Oregon for a while...
Would Like to See: ...it would be nice to have an online registration for the postulant monk status (though this website doesn't ever seem to end, so you may have one already).

Suggestions for Improvement: Not really, thanks for your guy's wonderful ministry.                                                                                                  (Minnesota)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
For many years I have had a desire to be set apart in a special way.  Even as a youth pastor and now a pastor in evangelical churches, there was something that has been missing deep within.  Over the years, I have been slowly exposed to first St. Francis and later to the Celtic way of Christianity.  It took the music of Jeff Johnson and the historical fiction of Stephen Lawhead to bring me to Aidan, Brendan and Patrick.  This past year I have started reading and studying from the ancient, Celtic saints.  And in them have found a deeper, simpler way of walking with God.  Never did I expect to find a group, a monastic group that was made up of people from similar paths as mine.  I am very interested in applying for the Knights of Prayer
Order of The Prayer Foundation .  I have been reading over the statement of faith/belief and the other aspects on your pages.

I find it appropriate that I would be writing this email on Easter Sunday morning after we have celebrated our Sunrise service in the park.  May God richly bless you today as we celebrate together our reason for salvation - Jesus the Christ, God's Blessed Son!  Christ has risen.  He has risen indeed!
Blessings to you,
Dan (Maryland)

Monk Linda,
I am so fascinated and in awe to find this website.  It is just what I have been searching for.
I am involved in studying to become a spiritual director at this time and know God is guiding me along my spiritual journey.
God has opened my heart to Celtic Christianity and I am reading all I can get my hands on...Thomas Cahill, J. Philip Newell.  I finally feel at home.
...am interested in becoming a monk.  My background is counseling and my spiritual gift is exhortation.
Thank you so much for this Wonderful website.  Can't wait to learn more and grow in my spiritual walk.
In Jesus,
Jan R. (Hattiesburg, Mississippi)
