I just thought I would update my current situation with you.  I originally was going to be deployed with the military police to go to Germany.  I have been removed due to a high frequency hearing loss.  I was going to go to Georgia, but my hearing loss has prevented me from going there.  I am now on the volunteer list to go with the ****.  They are presently on alert, and possibly going to Iraq.  The National Guard is going to retain me, but I will have to change my military occupation.  I already was a truck driver in the Marine Corps, so I might be switching to that MOS and if I gain a waiver at a Medical Review Board, I could possibly go with them.
Sincerely,
Monk Stephen (Tennessee)

A ground-breaking ministry...just beautiful to see your heart and vision.  I would truly love to become involved.  I do not know where I need to begin.  I will revisit the website to see how I can (or where I can) be involved.

I see your ministry as having potential to meet a very specific need at this moment in Evangelical Christendom. I commend you for your steps of faith.

As a Southern Baptist pastor who loves the writings of John Piper, C. S. Lewis, Charles Spurgeon and who also has a deep appreciation for Celtic Christianity (but have much more to learn)...

I will pray for you and your ministry...I will pray for discernment and guidance.

I genuinely want to learn more and I think this ministry could profoundly help shape my soul to help me become more like our Savior.  Thank you again.  I truly appreciate your quick and kind reply.
Blessings,
Kevin P. (San Antonio, Texas)

I am a born-again Christian.  I found your Site while searching for information on female monks and specific prayers.  I was very moved!    (Illinois)

I want to join! (as a Lay Monk).  My name is Josh and I'm a (Baptist) youth minister in North Carolina.  Anything I can do to fall more in love with Jesus and enhance my prayer life is for me.
In His bonds,
Josh (North Carolina)

Thank you for your excellent site!  I’m a believer who had just finished the book Quo Vadis and was looking for information on the web about the movie made in 1951 (with Peter Ustinov as Nero) and your Recommended Movies list popped up.  I see it as an excellent resource for good Christian and Biblically-based movies and have shared it with my Christian friends.  There have been times when my wife and I have wanted to kick back and have a time of relaxation but don’t dare have our spirits assaulted and soiled by what Hollywood has to offer.  Now we have a source for inspiring Videos and DVDs. Thank you.

Will you be continuing to add more titles?  I noticed that you didn’t have the video The Hiding Place about Corrie Ten Boom and there’s probably others that would be worthwhile to add.  Nevertheless, you have certainly provided a great ministry to other Christians who are tired of what passes for “entertainment” these days.  Your reviews are also excellent.                                                                                          May the Lord bless your ministry.                                                      ~Gary

Reply from The Prayer Foundation We love the Quo Vadis film, and plan on reviewing the excellent Billy Graham film The Hiding Place about Corrie Ten Boom sometime in the future.  We usually review one new book and one new movie each week.  They must be books and movies that we consider very beneficial to growth in the Christian life (this does not mean that we agree with every single thing in all of them).

I really love your website.  I really feel a peace and happiness just
reading everything.  I have been learning to pray the hours and I just think its awesome.  I feel I am learning to worship and reverence God more in study and prayer.  I'm just so delighted I wanted to say thank you and I will be praying for your ministry.  I feel somewhat shy about sharing my faith.  I talk about God to people but I don't get down to the brass tacks and really witness the way I should.  I used to be more bold early on when I first got saved.  It seems I fell on my face and really learned not to trust in myself or my flesh and now I'm learning to trust in God properly.  Anyway your ministry has been ministering to me and I'm just thankful.  Thanks for being there.                                                  Love in Christ,                                                                                       Dave (Tennessee)

Recommendation from The Prayer Foundation You may also find helpful in this area our Growing In Christ Monastic Training Course which is posted free on this Site.  As far as witnessing, it suggests verses to memorize, and also recommends reading the book, How to Give Away Your Faith by Paul E. Little (InterVarsity Press).

Thank you so much. This is a fantastic site, it gives me comfort to read all the answered prayers.                                                                      Thank You,                                                                                                    Jonie (West Virginia) ____________________________________________________________
