Pax et bonum!!!

I am very glad to talk to you, monks, especially being the first Brazilian one to do so.

Of course I will accept your prayer offers, because just like our Pope had said some years ago, the monks (men and women) are the hidden motor that moves human beings toward God.  And I thank God because of your existence!!!

I have visited your site and I have been interested in acquiring some movies I have seen there, like A.D., Brother Son, Sister Moon, Francis of Assisi, Jesus of Nazareth, The Prince of Egypt (Moses), etc.

I would really like to know how to contribute to The Prayer Foundation, and acquire those movies, considering I live in Brazil.
                                                                                                                           In Christ,
Klaus (Santa Carina, Brazil)

I had a friend tell me about the Knights of Prayer , and I admit I was skeptical.

A very good friend of mine has a friend who, as I understand it, was interested in becoming a monk with your organization. I wasn't given any details, except she insisted that "He said it was a Bible-believing, protestant monastery." I was a little suspicious, since I knew that her friend has had some less-than-solid ideas before, and that she is a little gullible. So I decided to check it out, and, lo and behold, she was correct.

Upon reviewing your website and doctrine, I find that I do agree with your belief system.  However, I was wondering why you have adopted the monastic system, which is closely tied with Roman Catholicism.  The word "monk" is associated with isolation and purism, and has a perceived tradition of such.  I guess my main question is simply: "Why?" This is totally for my own curiosity and satisfaction; please do not take it as an urgent request or complaint.  Any response will be appreciated.

I'll keep you guys in my prayers.                                                                   Thank you.                                                                                               Daniel G.

Hello -
I'm
(one of your Knights of Prayer Lay Monks and also) a lay minister in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.  I've always been drawn to such movements as the Franciscans, Lollards, Hussites, Waldensians, etc., and their public preaching.  I am always humbled to read about such Christians as Monk Bob, who publicly preaches every day.  I would like to start such a ministry (public preaching), but I'm not sure what the best way to begin would be.  Aside from that, I have the fear of my flesh to contend with - although I know I should fear the Lord more than my inhibitions of public preaching.  If Monk Bob has any recommendations or words of insight, they would be most appreciated.
Blessings,
                                                                                                        Monk Blair (Wisconsin)
