"You Know Better Than I"

My favorite part in this film is the song, "You Know Better Than I," certainly the best and most beautiful religious song of the year. It's sung when innocent Joseph is thrown in prison after being falsely accused. Things are at their worst, yet God turns it all to good.

Good Out of Bad

With Joseph's life we know "how it all turns out." With our own lives, we don't. Joseph teaches us that we need to trust in God, and in his plan for our lives. That God is working it all out. Joseph's life tells us to have faith that God will bring something good out of what seems so bad. It is a lesson repeated throughout the entire Bible. ____________________________

Enjoyable by All Ages

This would be considered a children's movie, but it is enjoyable by all ages. The three of our monks who watched it together were 32, 49, and 72 years old! Two have since gone back and watched it again; we consider it an excellent addition to our monastery film library; one we'll be watching again and again in the future. ______________________________
