James Hudson Taylor

Hudson Taylor went to China as an English Missionary at the age of twenty-one.

Taylor resigned from his Mission Board to live on faith, trusting God to supply all his need, and determining not to ask anyone other than God for money.  He founded the China Inland Mission on the same principles.

By the time of the Boxer Rebellion, half of all missionaries in China were from his organization.

At the time of his death, the CIM included 205 Mission stations with over 800 missionaries and 125,000 Chinese Christians. __________________

China...Hudson Taylor...Synonymous names when one studies great mission stories.

The original pioneer of missions into mainland China.  It was Hudson Taylor who said,

"God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply."

"God always gives His very best to those who leave the choice with Him."

This video covers the early years of Hudson Taylor's ministry, from his first arrival in Shanghai, to the death of his young wife, Maria.  Hudson Taylor is seen living out, in his own experience, vital truths from the Word of God.

Of which he said,

"There is a living God; He has spoken in the Bible; He means what He says and will do all He has promised."

This video can help you experience a deepening sense of God's power and each Christian's potential as one of His children.

Our Comments:

Hudson Taylor is one of a handful of very Christian, very inspiring movies that we have seen lately.  Hudson Taylor, with his living on Faith (he refused to ask for money, but only went to God in prayer), and his absolute burning zeal for souls, is one who (in common with Francis and Edith Schaeffer, George Müller, and Francis of Assisi) this ministry looks up to as a true Christian hero and wishes to emulate.

We highly recommend this movie.
