|
||||
(3rd Month: Free Month / Review Month / Catch-up Month) Novice Lay Monks: 4th Month These are the verses that we pray, not upon first arising, for that is when we pray St. Patrick's Breastplate and Psalm 5; but when beginning either our One Daily Hour of Prayer or the first of the Threefold Daily Prayers, whichever comes first that day (see: A Morning Prayer Service). ____________________________________________________________ Morning Verses Evening, and morning, and at noon will I pray, and cry aloud; and he shall hear my voice. -Psalm 55:17 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. -Psalm 5:3 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." -Lamentations 3:22-23 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." -Psalm 118:24 Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD...that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day." -Exodus 32:29 ____________________________________________________________ See Also:
