New Suggestions: Fellowship: Joining together with other Christians is Lifetime Habit Number 7! (Dwight Moody, when asked why Christians needed fellowship, without saying a word, took a pair of tongs and reached into a fireplace with a roaring fire. Pulling the red-hot, glowing coal out of the fire, simply held it in front of the questioner as the fire in it died out and it cooled down). "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25). Memory Verses: 3rd Set, (The Trinity) Memory Verses: Matthew 3:16,17; Matthew 28:19; Psalm 117. Memorizing God's Word is Lifetime Habit Number 3! Recommended Books: Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis. What have all Christians throughout History, and all what do all Christians today, believe in common; whether Evangelical, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, or Anglican/Episcopal? Reading good Christian books is Lifetime Habit Number 4! Recommended Movies: Just for fun (not required) watch another one of our recommended movies this month. Recommended Movie: Obstacle to Comfort: The Life of George Müller (Documentary) One of the greatest men of prayer and faith who ever lived, George Muller of Bristol became a legend in his own generation. He was a builder of Christian schools worldwide, a supporter of missions, and a father to some 10,000 orphans. The amazing issue of his life does not lie in what he did, but in how he accomplished it. It was all done by prayer and faith alone. He refused not only to ever ask for money, but also refused even to let his needs be known to any but God! In his seventies he fulfilled a lifelong dream, touring the world as a missionary evangelist for 12 years, while continuing to pray in support for not only for himself, but also for the orphanages he had founded. ____________________________________ Note: you can go ahead and read the other "Sets of Suggestions," but don't start practicing the next "Set" until you complete this "Set" (learning the Memory Verses and reading the Recommended Book). ___________________________________ Also see... ___________________________________ Copyright © 2002 S.G.P.
