Suggestions for the Monks of the Knights of Prayer ™ Monastic Order (and all other Christians!)
2nd Set (Study and Witness)
Bible Reading: Read at least one chapter of the Bible every day. Lifetime Habit Number 1!
Prayer: Set aside at least 15 minutes every day for time alone with God. Lifetime Habit Number 2!
Those interested in joining us in the Apostolic (Book of Acts) and Monastic tradition as we pray three of the traditional Hours of Prayer should take a look at: Daily Prayer: Praying the Hours.
J. Vernon McGee: Continue listening daily to Dr. J. Vernon McGee's Thru The Bible Radio Program. Habit for 5 Years!
Memory Verses: Memorizing God's Word is Lifetime Habit Number 3!
Sharing Your Faith: Who with? Family, friends, acquaintances, strangers. How? Let them know you're a Christian, talk about the Bible, tell them how and why you received Christ as your Lord and Saviour; our pages are copyrighted, but you may print any of them out and use them as a witnessing tool, especially Plan of Salvation and Statement of Faith. Sharing your faith once a week in some way is Lifetime Habit Number 5! The Memory Verses: 2nd Set, (Salvation), given above, all concern Salvation, and are excellent verses to use when witnessing (Psalm 100 is a psalm of praise, to help you in the growth of your prayer life).
Alms (Christian Giving): A portion of your income should be used to help support your Church, Christian Ministries, or however the Lord leads you as you go to Him in prayer. Giving something weekly or monthly is Lifetime Habit Number 6!
Recommended Movies: Just for fun (not required) watch another one of our recommended movies this month.
Founder of the China Inland Mission in the 1800's, a complete and total Faith ministry (Hudson Taylor and his organization never asked for money, and none of his missionaries--thousands of them---had any guaranteed salary). Hudson Taylor is one of the greatest men of prayer and one of the sweetest Christian spirits who have ever lived.
