Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably the most influential Christian writer of his day.

He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year.

C. S. Lewis was the most popular and best-selling theologian of the entire Twentieth Century, an amazing fact considering that technically, he wasn't a Theologian at all, but an Oxford Professor of English Medieval and Renaissance literature.

His books include  The Chronicles of Narnia fantasy series and his science fiction Space Trilogy.  Both series are must reading for all Christians interested in these genres.  His most famous book among non-Christians is The Screwtape Letters. ________________

...this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over...

A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below".

...wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original.

At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original. C. S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old devil to his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

...account of temptation - and triumph over it...

The Screwtape Letters is the most engaging and humorous account of temptation - and triumph over it - ever written. ________________________
