Tell others about Jesus like John Paton did:

Though we are not all called to the ministry of a Pastor or Christian Writer, we are all called by God to share our faith (witness) with those who are not Christians.  Some Bible verses that you will find helpful for doing this, and that you may want to commit to memory are found on other pages on our  web site (see: Memory Verses; 2nd Set: Salvation!, Plan of Salvation, and Statement of Faith). ____________

Author: Benjamin Unseth

To his headhunter neighbors, John Paton was Elijah and Moses wrapped up in one.

The courageous adventures of a daring Missionary, told afresh in this updated and condensed autobiography.

...death curse...murderous ambushes...

When John Paton left Scotland to become a missionary to the South pacific in the late 1800's, he dared an island's chief priests to prove their gods by placing a death curse on him.  The failure of their curse brought support for his ministry from some, murderous ambushes from others.

...islanders...turned to the Lord.

When Paton dug a well and provided "water from a rock," it was a clear miracle in the sight of the islanders.  From that time forward people turned to the Lord. ________________________
