The Leading and Definitive Cult Reference Tool, now completely Revised and Updated
Since the first edition was published in 1965, Walter Martin's The Kingdom of the Cults has been the leading reference work on the major contemporary cult systems. With an emphasis on the active, proselytizing cults, The Kingdom of the Cults is a crucial tool in counter-cult ministry and evangelism.
This edition includes substantial new information, including additional chapters on emerging cults and updated information on established movements. Because of their strong influence on the cults, Eastern religions are also examined. Readers now will find further help in combating the ever widening impact of the cults, not only in the United States but overseas.
Scholarly yet readable and engaging, The Kingdom of the Cults evaluates each cult's movement's history and beliefs, showing how each cult's teachings contrast with true biblical theology.
An Invaluable Reference Work for both Scholars and Laypeople.
In an era of rapid cult growth worldwide, Christians today more than ever need the trustworthy information contained in The Kingdom of the Cults. This comprehensive new edition equips readers from every walk of life to use biblical truth to counter the efforts of cults to masquerade as mainstream Christians.
Included is all the authoritative data of previous editions as well as an analysis of the latest ideological and organizational developments of cults old and new. Updated statistics and references detail the alarming spread of the Cults, particularly on the mission fields of the world. This edition also recounts the startling yet welcome embrace of orthodox Christian Faith by the Worldwide Church of God.
Readable and reliable to a wide cross-section of Christians---from teachers and pastors to lay believers trying to understand and witness to their neighbors---the new Kingdom of the Cults is certain to set the standard for cult reference books during the next decade (-from the Dust Jacket). ______________________________

this wonderful book and donate them to small rural libraries that did not have a copy.
Our understanding of the doctrinal teaching of the Bible was greatly aided by three classic Christian books: Walter Martin's The Kingdom of the Cults, C. S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, and Fritz Ridenour's So What's the Difference? We are also indebted to Paul E. Little, for his classic work, Know What You Believe. __________________________________
