Dr. Billy Graham: Dr. Billy Graham, sensing the tremendous value of this book, has requested that it, along with the other writings of Jonathan Goforth, including the book, How I know God Answers Prayer by Rosalind Goforth, be placed in the Billy Graham Memorial Library in Wheaton, Illinois. Dr. A. W. Tozer: Dr. A. W. Tozer, after hearing Jonathan Goforth speak at a missionary conference, observed that there was such a divine radiance upon his countenance that he later said "It seemed as though I was looking upon the face of God." "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit" says the Lord. -Zechariah 4:6 ...his missionary experiences in China during the 1900's. With firm conviction in those words, and complete dedication to their truthfulness, Dr. Goforth writes of his missionary exoperiences in China during the 1900's. Frustrated and despairing of hope, Dr. Goforth returned to his beloved China mission field, dissatisfied with the progress he had made and the screaming ineffectiveness of his ministry. But he did not despair long. By My Spirit is Dr. Goforth's written witness to a great outpouring of God's Spirit, and his utter joy at ________________________ |
seeing God move among the people he loved. Goforth's unadorned account of those years makes enormously encouraging reading. It is all true, and seems almost too good to be real.
