Original Prayer Request (10/22/02): Please pray that the law enforcement agents will catch the killer on the loose in the areas surrounding Washington, D.C.  This killer is shooting innocent people and the toll is rising.
Today he threatened to go after children.  Please pray for divine intervention and an army of angels to surround this killer and hand him to the law enforcement authorities.
We need prayer to stop him.
Thank you.

ANSWER TO PRAYER (10/24/02): 23 Day Sniper Shooting/Murder Spree ended today with the arrest of an American Black Muslim and a Jamaican National (13 persons shot; ten dead).

You prayed for my friend G., who had a mastectomy almost a year ago.  Because of her lupus, she was not able to have chemo.  She did have radiotherapy in Dec./Jan. and suffered for a nearly six months afterwards, with burning, lumps/boils/abscesses and extreme tiredness.  They normally give iodine to alleviate these symptoms, but she is allergic to iodine, so couldn't be given it.  She visited her oncologist in August and he said she is fine.

UPDATE: You have been praying for my son.  He was addicted to heroin, lost his house and good job, and was falsely accused by his girlfriend (when she was caught) of house robberies that she had committed.  He is now working hard and has not used drugs for six months.                                                                                                     Thank you so much,                                                                                      Mom in Pennsylvania

Original Prayer Request  5/6/02:  URGENT: Please pray that Title 14 of the City Code in Portland, Oregon Not be changed.  There is an attempt to change Title 14 so that Street Preachers can be stopped with a $1,000 fine and Six Months in Prison.  Because the city cannot block freedom of speech, they are trying to pass a new ordinance that they can selectively enforce at will against anyone who is not continuously moving (is pausing) in a public area.  This includes such things as sitting on a public bench.   Anyone preaching would be considered to be "blocking public access" to that bench's use (or any public area).  Also, authority for enforcement would be extended beyond the Police, to private security guards.  This would mean that any private business owner (with a security guard) who doesn't like the Gospel, could have Christians put in jail for six months.                                                                          (Portland, Oregon)
